Hello, please let me know if you can hear now.
Can you describe how we are supposed to do and send for a rectal and pharyngeal gonorrhea/chlamydial swab? Is it different than the regular swabs we do in family clinic?
The swabs are especific for chlamyia and gonorrhoea testin
the brand is APTIMA, the swab is universal, can collect samples from r****m of pharynx white same type of swab
apparently our chat server censors medical terminology
So I am in the genetics seminar, but I am also hearing the talk on ADHD in the background.
You probably still have the window open for the live stream from the main hall. please close that window.
comments re generics?
when does the effect of Foquest tend to drop off. any trials comparing foquest to concerta to recommend?
how can we address alberta drug coverage only of generics for those of low socio-economic status?!
is the next talk starting on DM meds?
I am waiting for the DM Meds talk too.
So foquest is new so less idea how it plays out clinically. Most LA stimulants show longer duration in studies than clinical practice. So for example by Fenton has a reported duration of 10 to 12 hours but in clinical practice is more like 8 to 9 hours. Via Vance has reported efficacy for 13 to 14 hours but in clinical practice is closer to 10 to 12 for foquest data suggest duration of 16 hours.
im anticipating clinical effect might be 13-15 hours
For cost, vyvanse is on formulary so covered better except not all plans cover the 10 mg strength. Jansen has a compassionate program for concerta as well. Feel free to email me other questions at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll try to help! Dr. Ross
how far in advance prior to an elective surgery do you hold SGLT2 inhibitors? 2 or 3 days, based on their half lives, or morning of procedure? (keeping in mind that we don't want their sugars to be too high prior to surgery)
why am I hearing the adhd speaker while the vaping talk is on; does anyone else
Did you close any other open windows? If not, I'll ask AV for you.
I logged out, then logged back in and its working well now; thanks
Perfect, thanks. Sorry for the technical issues.
Has anyone come across anything re: juuling cessation? If it is the equivalent of 1-2 PPD, are there any recommendations with respect to nicotine replacement therapy?
how long after treatment for prostatis should the PSA return to baseline - or at what point should we get worried if it remains elevated?
what is the incidence of Lynch's syndrome in aggressive prostate cancer?
Dr gotto says the PSA can remain elevated up to 6months after. He would repeat psa in 6 weeks and then 3 months if still elevated
when to start PSA ? 40 yo,
different PSA target for each decade of life? e.g. 5 at 50, 6 at 60 etc??
He says the incidence would be low
