Course Overview

This course includes procedure-focused lectures on anatomy, palpation-based diagnostic skills, and supervised injections in the anatomy lab to enhance a clinician’s ability to treat musculoskeletal injuries and pain conditions.

  • The course includes a Periphery MSK track or a Spine track, and a Hybrid track for advanced practitioners
  • Pre-course workshops include Sonoskills and Ultrasound Guided Nerve Hydrodissections (Beginner and Advanced)
  • In the Spine track ultrasound guidance is mandatory in the lab
  • In the Periphery MSK track, ultrasound is optional although a number of participants choose to use it.
  • This workshop is relevant to any practitioner who uses or wishes to start using prolotherapy or platelet-rich plasma injections in their practice, or utilize any other MSK injections.
  • This is also the venue for the formal Canadian Regenerative Orthopaedic Medicine Injection Certification (CROMIC) Exam.

At the end of this course, learners will have improved knowledge and skills to utilize ultrasound guided musculoskeletal injection therapies in their practice, or for those not using ultrasound, to become proficient at excellent palpation and land-mark based injection techniques.

Any physician (MD) who wishes to improve their musculoskeletal injection skills, especially those who utilize ultrasound guidance. 10% of the course space is also available for nurse practitioners (NPs) and naturopathic doctors (NDs).
