Course Overview

This intensive course is designed primarily for Family Practice Anesthesiologists (FPAs), offering a blend of expert-led didactic teaching and interactive group workshops with hands-on learning. The target audience also includes Anesthesia Assistants (AAs), anesthesiologists, residents, and other medical professionals working in rural anesthesia settings, providing valuable opportunities for networking and the exchange of ideas among rural anesthesia practitioners and leaders in the field.

At the end of this course, learners will be equipped to:

  • Explain current issues and apply techniques in anesthesia that are relevant to the practice of GP anesthesiologists in rural areas
  • Apply knowledge and use practical application of skills required in a rural hospital
  • Demonstrate competent and confident patient management
  • Participate in networking and exchange of information and ideas between specialist anesthetists and GP anesthesiologists
